Ever thought about volunteering in your community? Do you enjoy events at the hall and want to help with making them happen?
This could be your chance. The Memorial Hall committee has lost several members recently as people have moved away or stood down, and we would be delighted to welcome new trustees to join the team.
The trustees are responsible for ensuring the aims of Beech Hill Memorial Hall Trust charity are met. This involves ensuring the hall is run appropriately for the benefit of the village and is on a sound financial footing. The committee meets about 4 times per annum, and we run 2 or 3 low cost events, such as the Band Day and Bonfire, for the benefit of the village.
We would particularly welcome new trustees with the skills to market the hall, working on the website and publicising the hall to new hirers. If you would like to have an informal chat abut becoming a trustee, please contact the secretary, Sarah Potter (
If you don’t want to commit to becoming a trustee, but would be available to help out at events, or help with the website, please also contact Sarah. For events to run smoothly, we always require volunteers to help set up and tidy up, to prepare and serve food and drinks and to ensure safety of attendees. Full training will of course be given.
